Hi everybody.

Hi Mr. Bonesteel.

It’s just Bonesteel. Mr. Bonesteel is my dad.

*groan*

Anyway, Jason Part 3 is very close to being done. And by close to being done I mean 20 pages of the 130 pages are inked. I am really excited how how things are coming out so far; trying some new things with the inking. If you want sneak peaks follow me on Instagram as I will post panels and what not from time to time.

Aren’t you going to talk about how you last post was months and months ago?

No.

Ok then, are you going to tell us when Jason Part 3 will be out?

Umm…

I’m not really sure when Jason Part 3 will be out. Unfortunately Jason Part 3 – which I am now shortening to JP3 – is on the back burner while I finish working on a short piece for Hellbound V; an anthology. This is due at the beginning of September so once that is done I will be full on with JP3 until completion. For those interested the piece that I am working on is called Blood and Breakfast and from what I have been told, it is the plan to have Hellbound V ready for MICE 2014.

Speaking of anthologies, I will have a piece in the Subcultures anthology that will be coming out in September. The theme of the anthology is subcultures ie. nudist colonies, cryptozoologists, punk rock ect. (So, you’re not going to tell us anymore on Jason, excuse me, JP3? – Leave me be.) The piece I did is called Slashers and it takes place at a horror convention. I am really happy with how the piece came out and I really think that my style is starting to come together. Unfortunately I can’t help but feel like I got away with something because the story doesn’t really explore the world of horror conventions but focuses on two characters, who are avid horror fans, at a horror convention.  Pre-orders are now available.

Ok, so back to JP3.

Finally!

It is my hope to put together a Kickstarters for the printing and promotion of JP3 for the beginning of September. Due to the size of JP3 I will be offering a Kickstarter exclusive copy of JP3 with a limited addition cover. For all of the comics that will be sold in stores JP3 will be broken down into 3 parts which will help keep the in store cost at $5 dollars a comic. I have not yet settled on a binding color but I am thinking orange. Assuming the Kickstarter is successful I would like to have JP3 in your hands by October 31st however I am thinking it is more likely that it will be end of November.

Stocking stuffers!

Exactly.

This is all the info that I have for now. Hopefully I can make an effort to post more updates and general movie thoughts/reviews on the site but I wont make any promises.

We wont go holding our breath.

Thanks for the support.

Little is known about Bonesteel. He is an avid cartoonist/illustrator who has a BFA in screen writing and an MFA in cartooning. The comics that he creates explore the world of popular culture, taking familiar characters and situations and using them for his own dark desires. It is said that Bonesteel roams the streets of NYC. During the day he works an office job so that he may afford food and student loans. At night he works tirelessly on his comics. Growing stronger. Waiting for the day that he can emerge from behind the drafting table and take the world by storm.
