Hey y’all,
So I attended Mocca this year as one of the lovely Male Eye Candy at the Center For Cartoon Studies table and let me tell you that I had a lot of fun. One of the most exciting things for me was that Jason was there at the convention, which I didn’t know cause I don’t read things, and he was doing a signing. Let me tell you the dude is amazingly fast with this drawings and they look incredible. He did a drawing on my inside book cover along with some color shading and in all honesty it made me sad cause I will never be that good…anyway moving on.
In addition to meeting Jason I got to meet some really other really great cartoonist as well as make an ass of myself in from of some great cartoonists like Tom Neely. I really like his work but when I went up to talk to him I didn’t really have anything to say and it was so awkward. Yeah…
I also traded a lot of comics with other artists which was really great since I didn’t have all that much money and there were so many great comics to be had. Here are a few people you should check out if you ever come across their comics – Hanni Brosh, Kenan, Cathy Leamy, Erik B Krenz, Shawn Cheng and Jeremy Arambulo.
